Lack of pronouns

Explanation

Many times you will not see pronouns (i.e., I, you, he, she, etc) because when the context is clear, you can usually guess what the other person is talking about. For example: ไม่ชอบ (mâi chôp) can mean "I don't like", "she doesn't like", "we don't like", etc - depending on the context.

Pattern

omit the pronoun when the context is clear

Examples

เป็นนักร้อง

bpen nák róng

He/she/I/you are a singer (depending on the context)

ชื่อเกรซ

chêu Grace

My/her/your name is Grace (if I am introducing myself, then of course it will mean "My name is Grace"
